Description:

​McAfee is hiring a Senior IAM Engineer to drive the modernization of its identity infrastructure at its Bangalore technology hub. This high-impact security role centers on executing the migration from legacy identity frameworks over to a unified cloud architecture. You will serve as the technical lead for the end-to-end administration, deployment, and optimization of the Okta platform. The daily scope transitions beyond standard credential management into advanced security engineering: designing lifecycle management rules, configuring granular cloud provisioning methods, implementing automated approval gates via advanced engine logic, and orchestrating complex Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) protocols to shield enterprise assets.

​Requirements:

• ​5+ years of dedicated professional engineering experience administering, designing, and maintaining the Okta enterprise identity ecosystem. Possessing an active Okta Certified Consultant designation is highly preferred.
• ​Direct experience deploying Okta Identity Governance (OIG) for automated access certifications, remediation rules, and designing multi-tiered Access Request & Approval processing frameworks.
• ​Proven history building and debugging advanced serverless automation pathways utilizing Okta Workflows, specifically governing non-employee and employee lifecycle events.
• ​Direct hands-on engineering history utilizing HR systems—specifically Workday—as the authoritative inbound source of truth for downstream Okta user synchronization.
• ​Master-level command over advanced application onboarding protocols, including constructing automated provisioning channels via SCIM, Just-In-Time (JIT) provisioning logic, and native Okta API manipulations.
• ​Comprehensive architectural understanding of modern authentication and authorization paradigms, including OIDC, OAuth 2.0, SAML 2.0, alongside legacy layers like LDAP and RADIUS.
• Hands-on experience deploying Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) parameters, featuring advanced secure setups such as Okta Verify Push and biometric hardware authentications.
• ​Practical experience configuring delegated authentication channels between Okta, legacy on-premises Active Directory (AD) grids, and cloud-native Entra ID tenants.
• ​Foundational proficiency conducting Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) discovery, defining enterprise birthright access matrices, and executing them programmatically using Okta group placement rules.
• ​Sharp qualitative problem-solving habits to decompose complex hybrid integration issues, high ownership metrics to run platform implementations independently, and clear communication patterns to engage smoothly with cross-functional global tech squads.
